Show common item but hide from rental loading order?

Is there any way to hide an item from the Rental Loading Order, but have it still show up under the Common Items list?

The Rental Loading Order is super helpful for large items, but small accessories (ie. concession flavors, etc.) just clutter the list because they all go together (ie. in a box in the cab of the truck).

The "Show on Packing List" option under the advanced settings on an inventory item works as expected: when checked it shows on the packing list, and when unchecked it doesn't.

The only things that seem to show as Common Items but not on the Rental Loading Order are what's on the packing list for the items in the Rental Loading Order.

Could you please provide some lead examples with multiple items so we can review this further?

Sure, I've got all sorts of leads with multiple items--though I'm unsure how that relates to my question. 66911959 is a lead with several items, though none of them are concession items or anything else I'd want to only appear on the common items list.

In comparison, lead 65147647 has the 6' table cap and 8' table cap which I'd prefer not to have included in the Rental Loading Order since they're tablecloths that just go in the cab.

We have our developers looking into your request further and will advise when we have an update.

Thanks!

Developer is advising common items are typically reserved for grouped items. Is it the printed pages or app that is your concern?

To answer your question, the app doesn't have the vehicle packing list or the Loading Order capability--packing lists are only accessible within an individual lead (right?) so we just need this to work for the printed vehicle packing list.

I understand your description is how it works currently, but the difference in names (grouped items vs. common items) highlights the difference in utility between "grouped items" and stuff that doesn't need to be loaded in any particular order/loaded in bulk. At its core, this is actually an issue with the difference in function between "Loading Order" and "Rental Items", despite the two being used synonymously on the packing list.

Loading Order should only include things that need to be loaded in order (ie. large items like inflatables, chair racks, tables, etc.). Loading Order is a subcategory within the Rented Items list, not just an arrangement of the rented items. To use the square/rectangle classification analogy: Rental Items is a rectangle, Loading Order is the square.

For example, I added "1 chair" to the packing list for the "chair" inventory item so that it will show up on the common items list. That way when we have two events with 25 chairs, they guys know to load up one stack of 50 chairs for ease, but they also know (thanks to also being on the loading order) when those chairs need to be accessible during the route. Compare that with tablecloths. If we have two events with 10 tablecloths each, we're going to put a bin of 20 tablecloths in the bed of the truck regardless of when on the route the drop-offs are, because they're always accessible (unlike a rack of chairs stuck behind 3 bounce houses). In that case I still want them on the packing list as an item that is (or could be) common among several leads, but is NOT in the loading order (just for simplification purposes).

To adapt this to a feature request, perhaps a checkbox in the Packing List settings for inventory items that says "Include in Loading Order for packing list" that can be unchecked based on the user's preference for each inventory item. This would require either having those items be included in the Common Items list, or (more easily) just adding a full "Rental Items" list between the two lists on the printed packing list.

Thanks I've updated our open ticket for developers to further review.
