Create New Lead from Customers Page

Ability for sales reps to create/add/start a new lead from the customers page? I would LITERALLY pay for this development out of my own pocket. (insert sobbing emoji here)
It is the bane of my existence when a sales rep accidentally overwrites the original customer information and changes all past leads.
