Referrals

Need Answer

How do I make the referrals dropdown an option on the quote form? Do I have to create a new option field? If so, will that duplicate on the lead form on the back end?

It's actually already in the form, but it's hidden by default

I've unhidden it for you.

This is not super helpful to figure out how to "unhide" it.. Could you please maybe be more explanative about where to find it and how to change it to or from being hidden?

If you want the referral field to show on the checkout page you first go to Settings-->Pages/Templates and open your checkout page (this will either be quote request or WP checkout). Then open the template you are using for your checkout and go to the code/source view (</>) 6e0f1867f022fb8ca7e06a02aca6daa7

Scroll down in the template until you find the "Referred By" and remove the style="display:none;" on the line above the control label. Then save and close.

Hello... I found the "referred by" code in the template. I'm not sure what I should change though... looking to add a drop down for referral types. A drop down that requires a selection to be made.

I removed the style code that hides the referral field from your checkout. This is already a drop down box. If you would like to change the options that can be selected, go to Settings-->Referrals. You can remove and add referral fields here.

I have followed these steps and it worked great for one of my sites. However, my other site doesn't have a Checkout template, it has a Quote Request and a Quote Request - Wordpress template that seem to be the same thing (it's a brand new site, so maybe the Checkout wording is being phased out?)

However, when I test it on the live website, nothing's changed.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that I set up the website with an IO checkout and then changed it to Website checkout after launch? That said, the checkout still seems to be the IO checkout even though I changed it. I honestly don't know the difference between those two options and why I might choose one or the other, but that's a different question.
