Relationships not working right
Answered
I was trying to add a relationship today and got some things messed up. I was trying to connect my 10x10s to the 20x20s. If all my 20x20s are rented I wont have the frame parts for the 10x10s and vice versa. I'm not sure what I did wrong but now the "delete" button is missing. I also noticed the 20x40 quantity went to (1) and it should be (3). I didn't even mess with this.
The meeting today didn't fix this

I figured out the quantity issues. Still cant figure out how to link the 10x10 to the 20x20s though

Let's clarify how relationships work in the system for your tent inventory:
For the 20x40 Tent: Yes, the 20x40 should be set up to "build from" two 20x20 tents. This correctly reflects that if a 20x40 is rented, two 20x20s become unavailable.
For shared poles (10x10s and 20x20s): This is where direct "relationships" (like one building from the other) won't work as I think you intend. An item can have multiple child items (e.g., a 20x40 needs two 20x20s), but this implies both child items are consumed for the parent. You cannot create a "grandparent" relationship where, for example, a 20x20 needs a 10x10 and then the 20x40 needs 2 of those. The system doesn't have that nested component logic through parent/child relationships.
The most effective way to manage your shared corner poles is by using accessories:
Create "Corner Poles" as a separate accessory item (with exactly how many you have).
Then, each 10x10 tent and each 20x20 tent would have "4 x Corner Poles" set as a required accessory that consumes the inventory. This ensures availability is tracked accurately across all items that use them. The 20x40 would continue to be a parent to the 20x20 (build qty 2).
The issue with not being able to delete certain relationships is probably because you will need to delete that from the parent item. Please let us know if you need further help with this.
