I don't have and don't really need the workers module yet. I'm looking to document training for employees by adding an LMS plug in to my site and having employees log in to complete training I create. Is there any reason this might conflict with IO?

You can add other plugins and tools to your site. There's always the chance that a new plugin will have code that can conflict, but we do our best to mitigate this; and if you see an issue we can help debug it.
