Special (discount) cannot be removed

I have a promotion that automatically applies a discount when multiple units are ordered. Some leads, however, do not qualify. Therefore, I click the recycle icon next to the promo code... only for it to magically reappear. What's going on?

Go to the discount/promotion in the settings and uncheck "automatically recalculate" This will keep it from being able to be edited if it's checked

So to "manually" recalculate I would remove and re-enter the promo code? Will it still work when a customer enters info online?

Auto means it will recalculate without you forcing a "recalculate" yourself. If the customer qualifies it will still apply for them as well. (if it's something you have set up as a "special" and they don't need a special code, etc)
