Total due not syncing to calendars

I’m randomly encountering an issue where its not zeroing out the total due on my google calendar even though I’m marking them as paid in IO. Its happened to a couple events and seems to random.
The same question 
Google calendar integration will not look to sync any information after the event time has passed, and it appears the payment for this event was posted just following the event.
