how do I delete an inventory item

I am checking the inventory item I wish to delete. Hitting delete. It deletes at the moment and then reappears.

Check and see if you can add that item to a new lead. If the inventory item is linked to another part of your account (like being on an older lead), the system wont allow you to fully "delete" the item. The item should be made "inactive" - that way it can't be rented BUT any data is still saved (i.e. when that customer calls next year and wants to know what was on their order- it will be accurate- otherwise that item will not show)

Under Settings-->Inventory it looks like you have the inactive filter on which shows items you have deleted. You would need to remove the inactive filter then make sure the item you are wanting to delete is not listing.
