IO App Design

How do you actually add event details from the Leads pages to your workers app? I know you have to set different variables but that process doesnt seem very user friendly at all. Anyone have a simple solution to adding and subtracting buttons on the app for workers?

On the app currently there isn't a way to add/edit leads. A worker would have to use a browser and be logged into the software to do this currently. This may be a change in the future...the workers app is still being updated.

Thanks Susan. I not necessarily trying to add or edit leads. Just show the details that are inside the lead. Is there a way to do this?

Can you give us an example? When you click on a lead from the app it should give you more info. what is missing?

See the image I have attached here? There are only two buttons that you can even use when I go to an event on the app. How do you create or delete other buttons like the one that says "Navigate to Event"?

You cannot create "buttons" but you can adjust the info that shows on top? If you go to Settings--> App Templates you will see the ones that are there automatically. Click on these and you can add information for the lead? For example, you can add variables for the workers to see, customer notes, event notes, etc.

I must be doing something wrong... I am following these steps but nothing substantial seems to be happening. I have attached an image named event details here. How can I all of that information to appear anywhere in the IO workers app? The variables concept is very confusing.

The app isn't meant to give all this information. You can pick specific things that you want to add to those app templates...but to see everything on a lead they would have to login to the software

Variables are simply a way to link lead info to a page. This way when you open a contract, invoice, App card, it will pull the info for each lead. If you don't have variables, then you'd have to create a new connection for each lead. That would be horrible as you grow. So variables allow you to build a one and done template.

You can go to settings>template variables and find all the variables relating to the image you posted. You then put those variables into app templates (preferably grouping like variables such as all venue info on one card and all contact info on another card and all notes on another card). Some variables need to be in a loop. Like rental name. If a lead has more than one rental then it needs to be in a loop so it can pull all rentals into the template.

Since we can make as many cards as you want for a lead, you can put ALL the variables you want for a lead. HOWEVER, sometimes that's more than most teams need.
