QB's sales tax integration

Looking in QB's and it is saying that customers are paying over what their balance is but this amount is the amount of sales tax paid. My understanding is that a sales tax account would be created but don't see anything like that in QB. Is there something additional we need to do in IO or QB settings to get this accurate?

We did not. I am able to go back and turn that on but how does the integration from IO to QBs work in regards to tax exempt customers? Will IO transfer the information that a customer is tax exempt?

Yes...it will show that they are exempt and paying $0 in taxes. It doesn't send over any of the "exempt" info though. So if you save this info (tax id #, etc) in QB you will need to enter it there as well.
