I have been getting some units booked over the phone and want to know how I can make them unavailable on the days they have been booked without having to manually input the client info on the website to avoid having it booked twice in one day.

Building a lead is the best way to do this. It also helps your metrics (knowing which units are making money etc) and allows them to be included in any autoamted emails etc

Creating a lead and putting in confirmed status is the best way to hold the units from being booked for another event. You do not have to go to the website to do this, you can do it in IO on the leads/events page. Here is a video on creating leads. If you do not want to record that data in IO then you could also put the items in settings-->maintenance, this would prevent those units from being booked as well.
