Could I get assistance in understanding some of the default templates and how they measure things?

In the "website funnel" chart, it displays the results 2 times for each "type". What is the difference and why is it displayed twice?
Neither "Visitors" result matches the graph totals in the "Website Visitors" section
The "quote confirm" stat is larger than the "quote page" stat. Joel has indicated there is duplication across devices and that if we create the lead and send the "quote confirm" page ourselves, it could create the offset BUT if this is a "website funnel", then it should only be measuring stats from the website - not from data input by ourselves into IO. If a customer rings directly (as a repeat customer), books over the phone, we send across, it's now counting that quote confirm number as a percentage of website visitors (when they never visited the website)
At what point is a "website conversion" measured ? Contract / Contract Signature / Payment marked as received?
