Custom Field - Incidental Waiver totals?

Per Tim's response to an old request we made, we tried to run a report showing the total $$ collected from Custom Field- Incidental Damage Waiver...but it just shows a 'yes' or 'no'. For sales commissions, tax purposes etc we need these to be totaled in a sortable report. How can it be done?
