I'm creating packages in my inventory, I rent soft play, and want to give my customers the option to choose their ball colors and mat colors. Right now I have the ball colors/mats listed as an accessorily. The limit is set to 8, so they cants choose any more then 4 colors. It shows the accessory, and is shown as a drop down list.

How do i make it to where they can only choose 4 mats and 4 ball colors, and not 6 and 2?

How do i make it to where they are not able to book without picking out their colors?

I would need to be set up as Choose your ball color then have the customer choose 4 colors, same with the mats Choose your Mat color....you would set these up a Hidden items then add the balls to the Choose your ball color, same with the mats, then add the choose categories to the main item. If you need assistance with this please let us know.

So with setting it up like that, I would add the "Choose your ball color" as an accessory under my package, right?

That would answers my first question but how would I make it to where they have to do that before being able to check out? I don't want them to be able to add it to cart without choosing color options, or at least show an error message.

Correct. By making the Choose your ball color a required accessory, they will have to make a selection. By setting the accessory limit on Choose your ball color, they can only select the amount allowed.
