If you would like to send a contract to your customer, open their lead, open the email section and select the contract template then send.

when you are in your lead use the top bar and click on the envelope icon
then make sure the email address is filled in and then choose the template you want to use

also make sure you have your email templates set up in settings/email templates
you can set up different templates for every thing you email
